Nonprofit Organizations
Occasionally, there are nonprofit leaders who think that their organizations do not require strategic planning. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Strategic planning is not only about making profits but is also about achieving the desired results in the best possible manner. The goals of the nonprofit organization act as the yardstick for its planning. The strategy is determined by the key requirement(s): (1) to cater to larger sections while utilizing the least possible resources; (2) to generate adequate volunteer resources, and/or (3) to market themselves to acquire more funds and reallocation of these funds in a systematic manner.

CALSHA works with nonprofit organizations to align executives, staff, and board members around

• a clarified mission and vision,
• agreed upon objectives,
• a capacity for strategic thinking,
• identification of capabilities and resource requirements, and
• action needed to take the organization to the next level.
